7 th International Conference on Computer Science and Engineering UBMK 2022
- UBMK 2022 provides a forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent research, innovations, trends, experiences, and concerns in the field of computer science, computer/software/information systems/information security engineering and computational methods. 7th International Conference on Computer Science and Engineering (UBMK 2022) will be held at Dicle University, Diyarbakır – Turkey on September 14-15-16, 2022. On the other hand, in parallel with the regular scientific presentations, Heads of Departments of Computer Engineering Council (and other related departments) will meet to discuss the quality issues and problems in the computing field specifically the computing curricula in Turkish Universities as part of the 36th Convention of the Assembly.
- Every paper is reviewed by at least two reviewers. Upon completion of the reviews, authors can see the reviewer reports. The next step is to check the paper for plagiarism. All accepted papers will appear in the conference program and proceedings of the conference. Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements.
- Conference organized by Heads of Computer Engineering Council (BMBB) and Academic Informatics Foundation (ABV). Organizer does not aim for an income increase from UBMK conferences. Approximately $ 40 is paid to IEEE for each paper. Conference revenues are spent on general expenses such as promotion, arrangement, guest speaker costs, taxes, etc. of the conference. Academic Informatics Foundation (ABV) helps on financial issues.
- The following awords will be given for the papers presented at the conference;

- The 5 students who request will be entitled to the conference free of charge.
- 12 students who are members of the IEEE student club will be allowed to attend the conference free of charge.
- Discounted participation fee will be provided for ABV, TBD, BMO, EMO and IEEE members.
- Social resposibility projects:
– Dicle University will plant a sapling for each person attending the conference.
- The conference will be held face to face. However, if the corona epidemic continues during the conference days, ONLINE Distance access will be provided.

Diyarbakır city tour will be held on 14-15-16 September 2022 after conference sessions. The trip is free. The places to see within the scope of this trip are:

Göbekli Tepe tour will be held on 17 and 18 September. The cost of the trip will be determined in the days close to the conference. Those who want to participate in the trip will be asked to register and choose the day of the trip.
During the trip, Göbekli Tepe and its Museum will be seen.

Mardin Trip
Mardin tour will be held on 17 and 18 September. The cost of the trip will be determined in the days close to the conference. Those who want to participate in the trip will be asked to register and choose the day of the trip.

Paper Reviewing Process:
Paper review phase
- Every paper is reviewed by at least two reviewers. Upon completion of the reviews, authors can see the reviewer reports.
- If two reviewers do not agree on the result of the evaluation, the paper will be sent to a third reviewer. The result is then based on the reviews of two referees (out of 3).
- Each paper will be checked for plagiarism. If the plagiarism less than %25 the paper passes this step in a satisfactory manner, it is accepted for oral presentation. A final acceptence letter is sent to author(s).
- All accepted papers will appear in the conference program and proceedings of the conference (e-book) will be provided to presenter.
After conference evaluation
- Papers presented at the conference will be published in IEEE Xplore. Conference ID : 5585 Papers not presented at the conference will not be published in IEEE Xplore.
- The extended version of the selected papers by the organizing committee will be submitted to TBV Journal of Computer Science and Engineering.
The last day of the paper submission is July 1, 2022
The format of the paper is:

The conference is bilingual: Turkish and English.
Papers will be evaluated by Scientific Committee and The Best Paper Awards will be given to first three papers.

The BMBB Executive Board delivers an Outstanding Achievement Award in the field of Computer Science and Engineering every year to support academic achievements since 2019. An academic staff is selected based on academic and scientific criteria.
- In 2019, Prof. Dr. Awarded to Erdal ARIKAN from Bilkent University was awarded to Outstanding Achievement Award 2019 for his scientific contributions in the field of 5G Polar Codes.
- In 2020, Prof. Dr. Derviş KARABOĞA from Erciyes University was awarded to Outstanding Achievement Award 2020 for scientific contributions in the field of “ABC Algorithm”.
- In 2021, Prof. M. Yahya KARSLIGİL was awarded to Lifetime Success Award 2021. The short biography of Prof M. Yahya Karslıgil is as follows:
He started his undergraduate education at Istanbul Technical School, Electrical Engineering Department in 1954 and completed it in 1958, and received his Master’s degree from the same department in 1965. He completed his second master’s degree in Istanbul Technical University, Nuclear Energy Institute in 1966,
He started his academic life in 1961 as an assistant at the Istanbul Technical School, Electrical Department, and received the title of Associate Professor in 1970 and Professor in 1979 at the Istanbul State Academy of Engineering and Architecture (IDMMA), Electrical Department.
During 1969-1970, he made researches on Reactor Control and Fast Reactors at Purdue University in the USA with the scholarship he won from the International Atomic Energy Commission. On his return to his homeland, he presented his Associate Professor Thesis titled “Determination of Reactor Parameters with Pulse Neutrons”,
He established the Istanbul State Engineering Academy Electronic Calculation Sciences Research Center (EHBAM) in 1970, served as the head of the Center and the Chair of Electronic Calculation Sciences,
He served as the Vice President of IDMMA between 1970-1982.
He founded Yıldız University Computer Science and Engineering in 1982,
Between 1982-1992, he served as the Vice Rector in charge of Management and Research at Yıldız University,
He served as the Head of the Computer Engineering Department at Yıldız Technical University between 1982 and 2002, and worked part-time in the department between 2002-2019.
Between 2007 and 2010, he served as the Head of Computer Engineering Department at Beykent University.

Prof. M. Yahya Karslıgil has trained tens of academicians and hundreds of students during his academic life, and he has been a pioneer in the realization of many social responsibility projects as well as taking part in many academic projects. Although he has taught many courses in computer science, software and hardware, his special interest and curiosity in the field of data structures and algorithms has been a source of inspiration and motivation for many of his students.

2- Step: Upload the Paper
Login the conference system. You will see your name in upper right corner of the main page. When you select your name you will see the tag “My Papers“, then select this tag.
In the page My papers, select “+Yeni Bildiri“.

At the end press “Submit” button
For logout press “Çıkış” button
An acceptance letter will be sent to the authors who pays the conference fee.

UBMK aims to high quality therefore applies the following reviewing steps for papers:
Paper review phase

After conference evaluation
- The proceedings of accepted and presented papers will be published in IEEE Xplore. Please note that an accepted papers can only be included in the proceeding if it is presented by the author . Online presentation is not available.
- The extended version of the selected papers by the organizing committee will be submitted to TBV Journal of Computer Science and Engineering.
The Participating Certificate will be given only those participate the conference and pay the conference fee.
Presentation of a paper is 20 minutes.

1 – Check your paper for IEEE format. Please not that:
a- The size of the paper must be A4
b- The fonts and font’s size of paper title, author(s), headers, body text must be suitable
c- The figures and tables must be designed as required.
After you check your paper you must give the file name of the paper like this:
Paper Number-First and second words of the paper-the last name of the first author.

2- Transfer conference fee and send the receipt by using of “Send Document button
3- If you completed all these an official acceptance letter will be send to you.
Hotel ****** special rate for conference. If you want to stay at the hotel you must do the following:

- Payment will be done at hotel
